This, without a doubt, is one of the happiest moments of my life! For the rest of my days I'm going to remember where I was when our GRINCH director stopped the run through, got on the God Mic and announced that Barack Obama was our new President.
As a Canadian, it is with great relief those of us north of the border heard the results of your election! But I'm also waiting to hear about Prop 8...
I am extremely upset with my home state of ca, with over 90% of the vote counted it looks like prop 8 will pass... how could people vote for it? i am at an utter loss
i want to amend my last comment a bit... so apparently 40% of ca voted by mail so that means there are millions of votes left to count before they can call prop 8.... so here's for hoping that the absentee voters understand that discrimination is bad
I was at BDubs.. We heard people cheering and were like, what the hell? And looked at the screen. (We thought it was going to take longer to get in all the votes)
Immediately five of my friends and me hopped on the train to Chicago (it's about an hour and a half away) while listening to him speak on NPR, and immediately met the most intelligent people in the world surrounding us on every side of Randolph Street. Fucking magnificent.
Haha Andrew I was at a run through too for willy wonka and our director got a phone call from his husband and announced that barrack was the the president nobody could concentrate for the rest of the show.

I had hopes for Prop.8 (and all like it) would fail but it looks like there's still a lot of work to do on people's ignorance.
But I agree, it was one of the greatest moments of my life to watch Barack named our next President!
Is prop 8 counted yet? If it passed I will shoot someone........
so prop 8 passed
horrible
frustrating
ridiculous
etc...
:(
I cried. I was in Washoe County Nevada canvasing door to door. And Nevada won! His speech was amazing. I hope you got a chance to watch it!
i am SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY- and i will always remember where i was when it was announced. this is going to be a good four years! YES WE DID.
but prop 8 passing makes me ridiculously depressed. a step forward, and a step back.
YES WE DID!
