Thanks Dave Hull for tipping me off on this one. It's an internet based musical called GIRL ROBOT, and I've just spent the last hour watching every single episode. It's very TBD-esque, but with a more music video format. I'm totally addicted.

OMG #$&@ You Zak Resnick!

So we were in Richmond earlier this week with the Bee and this dude Zak hit me up to let me know that I was in his hometown. I'd met him a few times before when I had visited friends at his current school, Carnegie Mellon, but we'd never exchanged more than a few words. Well, turns out, he is not only a fantastic tour guide, but a pretty freaking great guy as well. Vanessa & I, as well as some of the Bee cast, ended up spending just about every free moment of downtime with him, and I'd now count him as someone that I know I'll be friends with for a long, long time. Turns out, he's not only an incredibly sweet, genuine person, but also happens to be one of the SICKEST, sleeper r&b singers that we've got in musical theatre. Currently he's in an online contest to get a record deal with Chris Stokes, the producer of some pretty huge recording artists including Destiny's Child, Brandy & B2K. There's no official voting yet, but he has up these promo videos that have gotten him into the finals. They are a must see!

I'll let you guys know when voting info goes up, cuz I'd love to see Zak get all that his ridiculous talent deserves.

A totally chill and beautiful new video from two of my favorite umich MTs. Andy Mientus & Lizzie Klemperer perform "Thunder Road" by Bruce Springsteen at a student cabaret at Michigan. Just some trivia, Andy is taking a year off from school next year to play Hanschen on the SPRING AWAKENING tour. Lizzie just finished playing Julie Jordan in CAROUSEL, the spring university production. She's also that amazing chick who sings "Missing You My Bill." Is there a genre she's not good at??! Nevs.

Guy Scares the Camp Out of His Aunt

So, this is usually not my favorite genre of youtube vid, but I just laughed out loud at this incredibly campy woman getting the crap scared out of her. I mean, I'm pretty sure I took an agent meeting with this woman after my senior showcase.

It's rude how sick this girl is

I saw this video about a month ago and my jaw was on the floor at how ridiculous this girl (Carrie Manolakos) was. Cut to last week, I finally got to hang with Carrie at like, literally 4 parties that we both happened to be at, and I am now officially joining the leagues of people obsessed with the sweetheart that is Carrie Manolakos. Whether she's busting out some sweet moves at a bar in the village or being that sleeper amazing back-up riffer on the most recent ep of TBD, this girl is one of my new favorite people in NY.
