End of the Blog Contest
So the deadline for submissions to the Speak Your Voice Contest has officially passed. Unless you were having some serious youtube upload problem and couldn't get it up in time. I'll let it slide until the end of today, cuz lord knows I'm not great at making deadlines as I'm sure you've all figured out by now. I seriously have NO idea who is going to win this thing. I was so blown away by all of the entries and so touched by how much time and thought was put into all of your submissions. It is definitely a testament to how many hilarious creative people there are out there. I feel so honored! I'm going to have to rewatch them all and do a little point system because the competition is just too stiff. Keep checking back for the results to be posted. I can pretty much guess that they won't be up by tonight, but definitely sometime in the near future. Thanks again to the many contestants! You're all truly winners :)

9 People's Favorite Thing
This video makes me cry. What a gift [title of show] gave to American Theatre. This video is such a testament of how inspiring it was to so many people. You should go to the link of the video to check out the list of names of people who's pictures appear after watching. It's ridiculous!! I had to watch it about 3 times to find some of the ones I missed. There's also some K-B love 1/4 of the way into it.

Come see me in LILIES!
Hey guys, on October 20th, come check out a benefit reading of this incredible play that I'm in!
Colman Domingo (Passing Strange), Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Spelling Bee), Arnie Burton (39 Steps), Marcus Neville (The Full Monty, City of Angels), Brian O'Neill (The Corner), Chad Brigockas (Gossip Girl), Matthew Nasser, Vince Romoldi ("Camp"), Kevin Curtis, Eric Heusinger, Matt Mager, Jason Michael Miller, and Matthew Skrincosky will appear in a reading of Canadian playwright Michel Marc Bouchard's play Lilies, or The Revival of a Romantic Drama on Oct. 20.
The Deconstructive Theatre Project presents the 8 PM event that will take place in the site-specific setting of the Sanctuary of Middle Church in the East Village.
In the play, the Bishop Bilodeau arrives one morning at a Canadian prison to hear the last confession of a childhood friend, instead finding himself compelled to confront a past revived as the prison inmates perform a haunting and tragic story of passion and obsession among three boys at a small Christian school in 1912. Lust and love collide when two men confront their own conflicting memories in a final effort to reclaim lost lives and achieve redemption and revenge.
Lilies was adapted into a film with the same title in 1996, and shortly thereafter achieved cult status for its beautiful imagery, complex love story, and unwavering commitment to portraying the tragic consequences of homophobia and social injustice. The film was nominated for 14 Genie Awards - the Canadian Oscars - winning 4.
Sonny Paladino has penned original music for the reading, which is co-directed and produced by Adam J. Thompson and Ryan J. Davis.
Tickets, priced $30, are available by phoning (800) 838-3006 or by visiting DeconstructiveTheatreProject.
Middle Church is located at 50 East 7th Street, between 1st and 2nd Avenues, in Manhattan.

Signs of Hope & Change
Holy crow! I was not ready for this video. Celia, who's down in Pennsylvania fighting the good fight on the Obama campaign, sent me this video and asked me to put it up on the blog. Campaign aside, it is truly one of the most inspiring, uplifting pieces of filmmaking I've ever seen. I will not even lie, by the end I had tears in my eyes as I watched how hopeful and renewed these millions of Americans have become. To me, nothing defines the greatness of our country more than seeing all different kinds of people, who at one time merely sat back and watched, have joined together for one common belief.

Sneak Peak at me on NAKED BROTHERS BAND
I was just browsing the NAKED BROTHERS BAND website to find out the exact time that the new season premieres when my voice suddenly started talking to me through my computer screen. AHHH! This is so weird! It's crazy to actually see the footage that we worked so hard on. I can't wait to see the first full episode! The script was really hilarious, the cast was fantastic and my character is very...uh...colorful:) I think it's going to turn out to be a pretty rockin' episode. Enjoy the clip and don't forget to watch the first episode of the season this Saturday 10/18 at 8:30PM.

Dana Steingold "Sherman and Madeline"
Hey, so the reason you haven't seen more GIRLY SHOW videos is because the whole first half of the freaking tape skips. ARG!! Luckily, this performance was somewhat salvageable. I apologize for the skips in the video, but it is definitely still worth watching for the ridiculous talent that is Miss Dana Steingold.

New Pasek & Paul song
Hey guys, Here's Krysta Rodriguez singing "Pretty Funny," a brand new song by Benj & Justin. This is from the new show that they're writing called DOGFIGHT. It's based on a little known movie from the 90's starring River Phoenix and Lily Taylor. Here's a little background of what's going on when this song is sung. The show follows a group of sailors (or soldiers, not sure) during their one night in town before getting shipped off to war. Sound like ON THE TOWN? Well you couldn't be wronger. All these soldiers are going to a "Dogfight" that evening. A "Dogfight" was the term used for a party where every guy goes around the city and tries to find a really ugly girl to bring to the party as their date. The person who brings the ugliest girl wins the "Dogfight." So cruel right?! Well this is sung by the poor girl who is brought as date by the main sailor/soldier. She finds out that she was only asked as a joke, runs home and sings this song. So sad!! Obviously Krysta is the ugliest person in the business so it's only appropriate that she sing this song. Wait, what?! Or the most gorgeous...oops. Suspension of disbelief baby!
Also, if you haven't already, subscribe to Benj & Justin's new youtube channel. There's a few vids that aren't on UrInTown that you might have not seen before. Pasek & Paul channel

Andrew's Blog chosen as Editor's pick on Youtube

Woah!!
So I kept getting mad confused why the past two days a few of my videos have been getting MAD hits. A handful of my videos tripled their views in just a few hours and kept getting crazy spammed. I had no idea why until just this second when I logged onto youtube and saw that Andrew's Blog was chosen to be the Featured blog by the Editors of youtube. WOAH! Check it out, it's crazy! The editor kind of chose really random videos to be featured including (The One Where Jake Get's Kidnapped), (The Andrew Gets Busted One), (America's Next Petite Model Part 1) and (The Untitled One). I mean, maybe not the first one's I'd pick, but I definitely love that Andrew's Blog is getting recognition.
Check out the link and feel free to write some nice comments on the featured ones, so they aren't all like "This video sucks! Check out my profile for hot vids of me naked."
