thanks for putting the word out, akb! i posted this on the youtube video as well, but a group of past & present musical theatre academy students will be holding a benefit cabaret this WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 7th @ 7:30 pm at the theatre!
as i'm sure is the case for any professional actor who comes through north shore, nsmt has been a home away from home for thousands of kids, and helped us grow not only as actors but as people. without nsmt, countless students would not be where they are today, with extraordinary professional opportunities and in some of the best musical theatre schools in the country (umich, carnegie mellon, ccm, nyu, boston conservatory, penn state, emerson and the royal academy of dramatic art to name a few). because of all that, we want to use the talents north shore was so integral in fostering to do our part to save this landmark theatre!
it should be a great night (and even if it wasn't going to be, everyone should donate anyway. but now you donate and get to hear some wonderful singing as well!) requested donation is $20 dollars, but everyone should give what they can. anyone in the area should come out on wednesday and do their part!!!!!
I love North Shore!! I've had such great memories there from when I was young until now, and even though I am not an actor, I still believe it is such an amazing theater and gives people great opportunities.
With the recent closings on the great white way, I don't want to think that this amazing theater is going to close as well!

thank you so, so much for doing this! I have been envolved with nsmt for about 7 or 8 years now taking class and doing shows and i'm only 13!!! So, you can tell that nsmt has a special place in my heart, and know matter what happens, I'll never forget it (: So again, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS! and hopefully we'll raise enough money to keep it open even longer! (:
