Hey guys! So get ready for a new blog to hit youtube tonight. I still haven't decided on a title yet, but its probably along the lines of "The Trendy Poser One" or "The Windy City Surprise One." And while I haven't made a totally new one in a while, I have got to say that this one just might be my new favorite. We had a ridiculously fun time filming it so I'm hoping that silly energy translates when you guys actually watch it. Keep checkin back tonight!

I know, I hope it's posted soon!...
Sorry guys,
The audio got disabled because of the new Warner Music Group block on the 20 second sound byte that I used from a song that they apparently hold the rights to. So about 47 of you guys saw the blog before I put it on private but it was without sound. I had to re-export it with a different song and it's currently re-uploading to youtube. Wahwah.
I'm a big supporter of respecting the copyright of artists but this new WMG audio block thing seems somewhat unfair both to the lesser known artists who are trying to gain exposure and to youtubers who are using the music in a way that is not generating any commercial revenue and are doing so under the fair use doctrine. In my opinion, it's one thing to upload something like a copyrighted TV show where the people producing the show are losing potential viewers and money, or even being a youtube partner and being able to generate revenue by having people view your material. But the fact that Warner Music is now able to pull a video of say, your 10-year-old niece's piano recital where she's playing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" seems a little irrational. Well I don't know if this rant is even going to be read by anyone and I don't know where I found the energy to write it. But I'm willing to bet Steve Tannen and Deb Talan from The Weepies would have been okay with me using a snippet of their song to express how much fun my friends and I were having running around and being silly in Chicago. Keep checkin back for the real blog!
