Chelsea Krombach: A lesson in musicality

Chelsea Krombach, who spends her evenings covering the role of Elphaba in WICKED on Broadway, also spends her entire day playing on loop on my computer. She possesses one of the most unique and flexible voices I've ever heard. She simply sounds like no one else and has honed this amazing musicality that is infused with jazz, musical theatre and r&b. I can't wait until the rest of the world recognizes her for the legend that she is.

She truly is amazing. I was so impressed with her when I saw her as Elphaba in January 2008. Not only does she have an amazing voice but great improvisation skills (which she put to use when Glinda- played by Annaleigh Ashford at the time, fell on stage)

Beautiful voice. How often does she get to go on as Elphaba? My understanding is that there is a standby in the Broadway cast, so, sadly, she probably doesn't get to go on very often.
