THE BATTERY'S DOWN: PREMIERE TONIGHT!!!

I feel like I HARDLY have to remind this community to tune in tonight, but just in case you guys forgot, here's a reminder. The Battery's Down tonight at midnight! I can tell you without a shadow of doubt that this is the best episode there has ever been. I've seen three of the four (that's right!! FOUR!!) production numbers from this episode and I literally screamed at how amazing and stepped up this season has gotten. Congrats to Jake and Connor (our new director) for what I'm sure is going to be a thrilling premiere!

New Blog Tonight!!!

Hey guys! So get ready for a new blog to hit youtube tonight. I still haven't decided on a title yet, but its probably along the lines of "The Trendy Poser One" or "The Windy City Surprise One." And while I haven't made a totally new one in a while, I have got to say that this one just might be my new favorite. We had a ridiculously fun time filming it so I'm hoping that silly energy translates when you guys actually watch it. Keep checkin back tonight!

Ok, so this is a gamble posting this because I know there are some sensitive blog readers, but I'm pretty certain this is a joke in which case this girl is the most campy thing that's happened to musical theatre on youtube since Craig Stevens. If in fact I'm laughing at the expense of some poor girl with a webcam and a dream then I completely apologize and Miranda, if you're reading this, live your life and keep the dream alive girl! Spankin' New Blog this week

Hey KeenanBloggers! So I'm sure you've noticed the serious lack of video blogs in the past 6 months. I totes 'pologize. I guesss I've just been worked to the bone and the video blogs were the first to take a back burner. But fret not! This week Jake & Dani came to visit me in Chicago to see POPPINS and we got some serious blog action in the Windy CIty. Be expecting a hot new full length blog sometime this week. Here's a few screencaps from the footage I've edited so far.

She's Baa-aaack!

Miss Mindelle has done it again! For those of you who don't stalk her on youtube, Marla Mindelle has not only one of the sickest mix-belts I've ever heard in my life, she also has one of the secret sickest, no literally sickest grossest character voices ever screeched on a midi track. Her "Colors of the Wind" took the U of M campus by storm my sophomore year when her recording mysteriously slipped into our hands. Back then we thought only like a hundred CCM people had ever heard it's ridiculous inward singing and awkward vocal flips, yet in less than a year it became one of the biggest inside jokes on Broadway to the point that for the Easter Bonnet competition, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST did a fully staged campy hilarious production number honoring it that was met with ROARS of delight. Well, she's back. And this time with a fully produced music video directed by Mr. Camp himself, Connor "S a J" Gallagher. This time her swan song is that of the Disney gem "Part of Your World." Marla Mindelle, you owe me a new pair of Diesels because I just peed in mine.

Back on NAKED BROTHERS BAND

I mean, this is kind of far down the line, but hey, it's never to early to set your DVR, right? I just found out from a commercial on Nickelodeon that my character, Christophe, will be returning to the series NAKED BROTHERS BAND for the next episode. Fear not KeenanBloggers, everyone's favorite drama queen-y, slightly androgynous, chunky low-lighted director is back and this time I'm rockin a swoopy bang and a sensible hat. So grab your remote and set your TiVo to record on April 11th @ 9/8c on Nickelodeon. Or set your VCR if you're a soccer mom from the 1990's.
I had way to much fun filming this next episode and while I won't reveal anything about the plot, I will say that my character is up to all kinds of campy, sneaky tricks. Also I did my own stunts for this one. Well, all but one. I'll post more deets as the date approaches.

The Nerd Gets Laid

Tyler Spiers, one of the most creative minds on youtube has debuted a new web mini-series, "The Nerd Gets Laid.: Spiers is the brain behind amazingly campy webshows like "Planet Unicorn" and my all time fave "Cleveland's Next Top Model." This first look seems to be promisingly hilarious. Can't wait for the next installment.

The VOTE Blog

This is so cool! For you loyal blog watchers, I'm sure you're already familiar with VOTE! the musical, a show that I worked on this summer. It's a fun and hilarious musical to which I made a Vlog chronicling my adventures. Shortly after the industry reading, an offer was made to produce a full scale version of it at a regional theatre in Indiana. Carrying on the tradition, VOTE! cast member Katherine Duffy has made a rockin' vlog of the company's journey with the world premiere production. I totally applaud Katherine's sweet blogging skills and the whole cast and crew of VOTE! for presenting what looks like an amazing production!

"You Should Be In That" Acoustic Music Video

Oh. My. God. This was supposed to be a special feature on the DVD of THE BATTERY'S DOWN (which is no longer happening because of random contractual thingies). But I am so thankful that Jake is just going to release them on the TBD account. I am still laughing my *** off at the brilliance that is Ana Nogueira and Benj in this. They were being interviewed and just randomly decided to do an impromptu acoustic version of Molly Black's famous duet.

Holy crap! And you thought LOST was suspenseful! Definitely check out the amazing special 1/2 hour season finale of THE GIFTED GIRLS. It is not to be missed. What a fantastic end to a great first season!
