Chelsea Krombach: A lesson in musicality

Chelsea Krombach, who spends her evenings covering the role of Elphaba in WICKED on Broadway, also spends her entire day playing on loop on my computer. She possesses one of the most unique and flexible voices I've ever heard. She simply sounds like no one else and has honed this amazing musicality that is infused with jazz, musical theatre and r&b. I can't wait until the rest of the world recognizes her for the legend that she is.

Michael Buckley is one of my absolute favorite youtubers! His WhatTheBuck show channel has like a half a million subscribers and he is without one of the funniest guys around. He just gave the HUGEST of HUGE shout-outs to THE BATTERY'S DOWN on his most recent show and over at the TBD fam we are TOTALLY FREAKING OUT!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Michael! You just doubled our subscribers in a matter of minutes and are getting a whole new world of exposure! You are the greatest!

Epic new videos from Benj & Justin

Two arresting new videos from Pasek & Paul at the Kennedy Center. In the first, Leslie Kritzer absolutely slays you with "Pretty Funny," from their new musical, DOGFIGHT, then joins the boys to sing "Like Breathing" from EDGES. It is such a thrill to hear Benj & Justin singing again. I've been missing hearing their beautiful voices and there's nothing like writers singing their own material! And to have such a brilliant songstress like Leslie Kritzer interpret your stuff is truly a gift.
I'm so glad it was documented at such high quality too! I makes for a such an intimate look.


This is some New Youtube Gold if you ask me. Oh, and if for some reason you haven't subscribed to their channel, you must! They've got great stuff coming!

GREAT Video Response to "Urban Shorts"

Just givin a shout out to AsSimpleAsThat who's made an awesome video response to my "Urban Shorts" video entitled "Alexandria". As I run the risk of sounding so pretentious, I gotta say great contrast between the natural beauty and the everyday suburban imagery. I mean, that bike sign spray painted over with "Obama"--that's killer! And kudos to using an amazing Arcade Fire song! Keep 'em comin ya'll! Celebrate the unexpected art just outside your doorstep!

This is a rockin performance from this year's NYCLU benefit concert. Singing a song about marriage equality, are Maddy Wyatt and my amazing sister, Celia Keenan-Bolger! The very crafty and talented Maddy Wyatt is also the song writer. This is totally my new jam. DUH!

The Gift that Keeps on Giving

Okay, if a genie popped out of a bottle and said that he could grant me the wish of choosing only ONE famous person to get their own youtube channel, my choice TRULY would have be the great Alice Ripley...followed maybe only by Zac Efron or Amy Sedaris. Well folks, that genie must have come out of my 5-Hour Energy this morning because my wish was granted. Alice Ripley has a youtube channel and her videos are RRIICHH!! Like honestly, if you looked up "rich" on merriamwebster.com it would say "wealthy," followed by a link to her channel. She is giving you everything--camp, humor, TONY award winning acting choices and sexy face all rolled up into one.

Thanks to the like 10 people who insisted I watch this :D

I'm kind of nervous posting this because I suspect the majority of my readers may not have been born until Bill Clinton was prez, but this video is all kinds of amazing! Ah, the 80's. I may have only been a tot but I wanted that Hot Wheels race track more than you could ever imagine.

Whoops that Yoga Hippie Nightmare video got removed from youtube. Guess someone tipped off that tender morsel of an old man that he was the new guru of camp. Wah Wah. Lemme know if anyone finds it anywhere else. It was pretty rich.
