Epic Bike Crash Fail

Somehow I thought it was a good idea to videotape with one hand while steering and breaking with my left. Oops.

Andrew's Blog Playlist of the Month

Not to toot my own horn, but the Andrew's Blog Playlist of the Month for September is kinda really good. Being in Minneapolis must have inspired me to discover a TON of new artists and find some amazing new tunes. Here's the playlist that was basically the soundtrack to my month there. If you're able to download the whole playlist, do it! It's the perfect way to squeeze the last few ounces of summer out of your ipod.

"The Music Makes Me Sick" -- It's a Musical
"We Are Golden" -- Mika
"Two Weeks" -- Grizzly Bear
"Meddle" -- Little Boots
"In Step" -- Girl Talk
"Momma's Boy" -- Chromeo
"The Old Prince Still Lives at Home" -- Shad
"I Was Born (A Unicorn) -- The Unicorns
"All the Pretty Girls" -- fun.
"Combat Baby" -- Metric
"Dying is Fine" -- Ra Ra Riot
"Crying Lightning" -- Arctic Monkeys
"Devastation" -- The Besnard Lakes
"The Great Escape" -- Patrick Watson
"Me and My Friend" -- Julie Doiron
"North Adams" -- Gabriel Kahane
"One Day" -- Matisyahu

Urban Shorts: Minneapolis

This is totally my favorite Urban Short that I've made so far. I completely love Minneapolis and had so much fun filming this. Also THANK YOU youtube for picking that screen capture. I always hate having to chance it and get some fugly screen cap of me yawning or something. Anyways, enjoy!

A Great Cause

Hey guys, check out this great CD! It's a collection of tunes sung by MTs from some of the top colleges across the country. Proceeds from the album go to benefit The Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. This was put together by the very talented and generous Tyler Paul (younger brother of Justin Paul). Totally worth a $10 donation for some really enjoyable music in return.

SICK a cappella!

The N'Harmonics doing a ridiculous soul medley at Joe's Pub. Huge props to Shaina Taub who arranged this and is the final soloist. Definitely watch the whole thing. These vocals will not disappoint.

IN THE HEIGHTS has never looked so rich!

I beg you to watch this video, and watch the WHOLE thing! This little dude does the ENTIRE opening to ITH as every character. And I mean EVERY character, *ahem* Andrea Burns, you might want to watch your back. I'm pretty much certain this video is going to go viral, so you can say you saw it here first. MrMusicalDude, if you are reading this, BRAVO! Please, please, please keep making more videos! You're a green screen star! I'd LOVE to see what you could do with the opening number from MISS SAIGON.

Thanks Jake for this delicious tip!

"Wind It Up" back on youtube!

2 years after Universal blocked our Umich Dance Workshop video of "Wind It Up," it suddenly became public again today. I have no idea why, but I'm so glad! It used to be our #1 most viewed vid and this dance was so much fun! I'm kind of bootleg in this video, but watch the middle couple. Dave Hull and Mara Newbery are gigging it out for you! It's also worth a peak for Mara Newbery's amazing/hilarious choreo!

The Battery's Down: I Think I'm Gonna Like it Here

Great job to everyone involved. I've got to say, these are maybe my favorite musical numbers in a long time. That freaking "LA" song had been the #1 song on my iPod for the past month.
