NewMusicalTheatre.com Concert is rocking my world!

Check out the flashy, all-star opening for the NewMusicalTheatre.com concert. It's an awesome arrangement of some of my favorite (and I'm sure some of your favorite) tunes by writers featured on the website. Be sure to check and subscribe to their youtube channel for other hot performances. This is seriously the trendiest looking concert ever! Whoever lit this should be nommed for a TONY on May 4th. Oh okay, just because I know you'll eat this up, here's another performance. It's the stunning Whitney Bashor singing a cut of "Perfect" by Benj & Justin. Side note, this song should ALWAYS be sung with a fan blowing on you.

Um this girl is my favorite person of the day. You better just riff little 9-year-old! Seriously, her name is Heather Russell and she sounds like Adele. She's only got like 200 views. I call viral on this one by next week. It's a good thing Justin Bieber's voice is changing because I think we just found his replacement.

Buck's recap of his Streamy weekend

Definitely the highlight of my weekend was getting to hang with Michael Buckley and his amazing husband Michael (The Michaels! Too cute!). He's truly a wonderful guy and just as present and hysterical in person as you could ever hope. We had a hilarious night at some campy burlesque club in Hollywood. As you'll hear from his video, the actual awards show all kinds of special. But at the end of the day, it was a great excuse to spend a weekend with Jake, Dani & Nina and to connect with awesome people like Michael & Michael!

The new hipster MT standard!

I'm obsessed with the song "New Home" by Nick Blaemire! First off, Dave Hull's sexy voice is too much for me! He's always been one of my favorite male voices, and I'm so excited that he's performing on Broadway in WICKED right now. Secondly, this song is seriously so good. I'm totally banking on this being the new go-to song for young musical theatre dudes. That means we can be expecting a lot of "New Homes" in student cabarets and in the 2011 Senior Showcase season ;) This was filmed at Nick's Lincoln Center concert (fancy pants!). It's from the forthcoming musical he's writing, FINDING ROBERT HUTCHENS.

VERY MARY-KATE: Genius new webseries!

I've been meaning to blog about this for weeks! You guys have to start watching this hilarious new webseries, "Very Mary-Kate," based on our favorite freckled hot mess twin, Mary-Kate Olsen. I'm amazed at how short yet packed each mini episode is and I'm obsessed with this chick playing Mary-Kate. Homegirl's giving a kind of brilliant performance with some genius line deliveries!
