Seattle Mixtape

One of the things I was most excited about when I heard I was going to spend the summer in Seattle, was getting to be in such a major music city. So many of my favorite bands got their start here and the city is home to some amazing venues. This is a mixtape featuring artists who are either based out of Seattle or were formed in the area. The majority of these tunes are brand new as well. Don't be surprised to find out that these bands (and this mix) is nailing it!

Entire Playlist available for purchase on PING

1) "Down in the Valley" -- The Head and the Heart
2) "Montezuma" -- Fleet Foxes
3) "Hello Seattle" -- Owl City (these guys aren't from here, but obviously I had to include it)
4) "Stay Young, Go Dancing" -- Death Cab for Cutie
5) "King of Diamonds" -- Motopony
6) "Wolves at the Door" -- David Bazan
7) "Satellite Skin" -- Modest Mouse
8) "Swim Club" -- The Cave Signers
9) "Without You" -- Eddie Vedder
10) "5/4" -- Sunny Day Real Estate
11) "Infinite Arms" -- Band of Horses
12) "Hills Like White Elephants" -- The Soft Hills
13) "Tire Swing" -- Kimya Dawson
14) "Oh!" -- Sleater-Kinney
