NEWSIES Inspired Mixtape of the Month

Every month I bring you a specially cultivated playlist of tunes that have inspired me over the past 30 or so days. This month (with the help of my castmates) I'm bringing you a special mixtape inspired by the plight of the newsboys. NEWSIES is filled with timeless themes and ideas that have been expressed through music since pretty much the dawn of time. Here's a collection of songs spanning 50 decades and various genres of music including folk, indie rock, pop and hip hop. They're songs about youth and revolution and standing up to political and corporate giants. I hope you enjoy!

Guest article on Huffington Post

I felt pretty fancy this week when I was asked to guest write an article for truly my favorite news source, The Huffington Post. I decided to write about the portrayal of gay characters in the media as well as on my webseries, SUBMISSIONS ONLY. Writing this definitely took me back to my days at Michigan having to do some argumentative writing assignments. Luckily, the topic this time was one that I have a little first hand experience with.

The Keenan-Bolgers, Back on Broadway

Celia and I had a first last week. We got to do a joint interview together. Given the opportunity, I'd ONLY want to do interviews with her. Check it out! We talk about our family, childhood and upcoming projects including MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG at Encores, NEWSIES, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER and SUBMISSIONS ONLY.

SUBMISSIONS ONLY on The Approval Matrix

It's been a not-so-secret that Kate and I have had a dream to make it onto the Approval Matrix in New York Magazine so when out of the blue, I started getting texts that SUBMISSIONS ONLY had made it into the new issue we fully had a nerd freak out. We landed in the "Lowbrow Brilliant" quadrant which is especially exciting! Issues are out on news stands this week!
