Every month I bring you a specially cultivated playlist of tunes that have inspired me over the past 30 or so days. This month (with the help of my castmates) I'm bringing you a special mixtape inspired by the plight of the newsboys. NEWSIES is filled with timeless themes and ideas that have been expressed through music since pretty much the dawn of time. Here's a collection of songs spanning 50 decades and various genres of music including folk, indie rock, pop and hip hop. They're songs about youth and revolution and standing up to political and corporate giants. I hope you enjoy!

It should come as no surprise that with the continuation of NEWSIES, it will continue to be documented by yours truly. My first project is a new series called "Meet The Newsies." This will give you guys a chance to get to know both the characters and the actors behind this new show. These are truly the most talented boys I've ever worked with and I hope you grow to love them as much as I do. We're kicking off the series with my video for Crutchie. Enjoy!
Continuing with the wave of press SUBMISSIONS ONLY has gotten in the past couple weeks, this is pretty much the most epic! We were featured on this week's MUST LIST for Entertainment Weekly's best new media in the country!

I felt pretty fancy this week when I was asked to guest write an article for truly my favorite news source, The Huffington Post. I decided to write about the portrayal of gay characters in the media as well as on my webseries, SUBMISSIONS ONLY. Writing this definitely took me back to my days at Michigan having to do some argumentative writing assignments. Luckily, the topic this time was one that I have a little first hand experience with.
Celia and I had a first last week. We got to do a joint interview together. Given the opportunity, I'd ONLY want to do interviews with her. Check it out! We talk about our family, childhood and upcoming projects including MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG at Encores, NEWSIES, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER and SUBMISSIONS ONLY.
It's been a not-so-secret that Kate and I have had a dream to make it onto the Approval Matrix in New York Magazine so when out of the blue, I started getting texts that SUBMISSIONS ONLY had made it into the new issue we fully had a nerd freak out. We landed in the "Lowbrow Brilliant" quadrant which is especially exciting! Issues are out on news stands this week!
